| LF MUSIC MIX 2012 IS HERE!! 2012 was absolutely incredible for music making and consuming! I always start the year with a "Best of" playlist and add to it as I find favorites. This year i tried to keep it very exclusive but still it filled fast with over 95 songs. Narrowing it down to 55 favorites was a tough task, but I really feel this mix captures the soundtrack to my year. So many strong songs from some even stronger albums. So be sure to check out the full albums of these artists if you like what you hear! I have put the year mix into 3 mixes. The TAPIRMIX is the top 20 favorites. OCTORANGEMIX is my 20 favorite toe tappin tunes, and BULBLUEMIX is 15 of my favorite somber yet sweet songs. 2012 was truly a difficult year filled with tragedies, disaster and darkness. Though I know music is not the one true light in the midst of dark times, I do love the way that it ignites emotion and inspires creativity. Music never fails to soundtracks the times, and I hope that these songs will not only connect with you as you look back, but also carry you into a beautful new year. (note: the tapir that adorns the cover has always been a favorite creature of mine, and as I was feeling nastolgic for the old days of mix tapes this critter came to be. I present to you the cassette tapir.) |
